Hazard / Symptom
Hazard Contact with combustible material may cause fire. Explosive when mixed with combustible material.
After absorption of large quantities Methaemoglobinaemia with headache, cardiac arrhythmia, drop in blood pressure, dyspnoea, and spasms, key symptom: cyanosis (blue colouration of the blood).
Additional informations Swallowing causes nausea and vomiting.

Keep away from heat. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.

Person-related precautionary measures Avoid inhalation of dusts.
Procedures for cleaning / absorption Take up dry. Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area.

First aid
FIRST AID
After inhalation fresh air. If necessary, apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or mechanical ventilation.
After skin contact wash off with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact rinse out with plenty of water with the eyelid held wide open. Summon eye specialist if necessary.
After swallowing Drink plenty of water or milk. Induce vomiting. Laxative: Sodium sulfate (1 tablespoon/1/4 l water). Summon doctor.
