Hazard / Symptom
Hazard Very toxic by inhalation and in contact with skin.
After eye contact Irritations. After inhalation: Irritations of the mucous membranes, coughing, and dyspnoea. Methaemoglobinaemia with headache, cardiac arrhythmia, drop in blood pressure, dyspnoea, and spasms, key symptom: cyanosis (blue colouration of the blood). Latency time until onset of action.

Accidental release measures / Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media In adaption to materials stored in the immediate neighbourhood. Cool containers with water.
Additional informations Stop flow of gas, move leaking cylinder to open air if without risk. Do not inhale vapours.

First aid
FIRST AID
After skin contact wash off with plenty of water. Dab with polyethylene glycol 400. Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. Immediately summon eye specialist. After inhalation: fresh air. If necessary, apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or mechanical ventilation. If victim is unconscious: lateral recumbent position. Immediately summon doctor.
