Hazard / Symptom
Hazard May cause cancer. Also toxic by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
After inhalation of vapours Inhalation may lead to the formation of oedemas in the respiratory tract.
After skin contact burns Danger of skin absorption.
After eye contact burns
After swallowing irritations of mucous membranes in the mouth, pharynx, oesophagus and gastrointestinal tract.
Systemic effects CNS disorders

Person-related precautionary measures Do not inhale vapours/aerosols. Avoid substance contact.
Procedures for cleaning / absorption Take up with liquid-absorbent material (e.g. Chemizorb® ). Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area.
Environmental-protection measures Do not allow to enter sewerage system.
Suitable extinguishing media In adaption to materials stored in the immediate neighbourhood.

First aid
FIRST AID
After inhalation fresh air. If necessary, apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or mechanical ventilation.
After skin contact wash off with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. Summon eye specialist.
After swallowing make victim drink plenty of water, avoid vomiting (risk of aspiration!). Keep airways free. Laxative: Sodium sulfate (1 tablespoon/1/4 l water). activated charcoal (20 - 40 g in 10% slurry). Summon doctor.
