Hazard / Symptom
Hazard	Very toxic by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. Causes burns.
After inhalation	Highly toxic. Inhalation may lead to the formation of oedemas in the respiratory tract.
After skin contact	Burns.
After eye contact	Burns.
The following applies to cyanogen compounds/ nitriles in general	utmost caution! Release of hydrocyanic acid is possible - blockade of cellular respiration. Cardiovascular disorders, dyspnoea, unconsciousness.

Protective equipments / General working measures

Keep container in a well-ventilated place. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).

Accidental release measures / Fire-fighting measures
Person-related precautionary measures	Suitable protective clothing. Avoid generation of dusts; do not inhale dusts.
Environmental-protection measures	Do not allow to enter sewerage system.
Procedures for cleaning / absorption	To render harmless: Add a solution of hypochlorite. Neutralize with diluted hydrochloric acid.
Suitable extinguishing media	In adaption to materials stored in the immediate neighbourhood.

First aid

After inhalation	fresh air. If necessary, apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or mechanical ventilation.
After skin contact	wash off with plenty of water. Dab with polyethylene glycol 400. Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact	rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. Immediately summon eye specialist.
After swallowing	make victim drink plenty of water, induce vomiting. Immediately summon doctor.
