Hazard / Symptom
Hazard	Reacts violently with water, liberating extremely flammable gas. Causes burns.
After skin contact	Burns.
After eye contact	Burns. Risk of blindness!
Additional informations	We have no description of any toxic symptoms. Effect of the decomposition products.

Protective equipments / General working measures

Keep container dry. In case of fire, use metal-fire powder. Never use water. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).

Suitable extinguishing media	Extinguishing media: sodium chloride, -bicarbonate or calcareous sandstone.
Extinguishing media not to be used	water , CO₂ , foam
Additional informations	Carefully take up dry. Avoid generation of dusts.

First aid

After skin contact	wash off with plenty of water. Dab with polyethylene glycol 400. Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact	rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. Immediately summon eye specialist. After inhalation: fresh air.
After swallowing	make victim drink lemon juice, vinegar or a mixture of eggs and milk, then plenty of water. Avoid vomiting (risk of perforation!). Immediately summon doctor.
