Hazard / Symptom
Hazard	May cause cancer. Highly flammable. Also toxic: danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure through inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed.
After skin contact	irritant effect Danger of skin absorption. Degreasing effect on the skin, possibly followed by secondary inflammation.
After eye contact	mucosal irritations
After absorption	headache , dizziness , cardiac dysrhythmia , drop in blood pressure , dyspnoea , agitation, spasms , narcosis , cardiovascular failure , respiratory paralysis , death
Additional informations	Swallowing causes nausea and vomiting. Risk of aspiration upon vomiting.

Person-related precautionary measures	Do not inhale vapours/aerosols. Avoid substance contact.
Procedures for cleaning / absorption	Take up with liquid-absorbent material (e.g. ChemizorbŽ ). Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area.
Environmental-protection measures	Do not allow to enter sewerage system; risk of explosion!
Suitable extinguishing media	Powder, foam. Fire extinguisher: powder , carbon dioxide

First aid

After inhalation	fresh air. If necessary, apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or mechanical ventilation.
After skin contact	wash off with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing.
After eye contact	rinse out with plenty of water with the eyelid held wide open. Summon eye specialist.
After swallowing	Avoid vomiting. Risk of aspiration! Laxative: Paraffin oil (3 ml/kg). Sodium sulfate (1 tablespoon/1/4 l water). Summon doctor. Gastric lavage: only in cases of emergency and with utmost caution. Keep airways free.
